First Day in Manta

Greetings from Manta Ecuador:

Wow what an amazing day. God has shown us so much. This morning we visited the Zambiza Dump in Quito and met Pastor Julio. I have to say I was amazed to here about the ministries and his vision for the community in the dump. Pastor Julio shared that the focus is bring the gospel into the lives of the workers, by minitering to them, providing consoling, providing day care for their children, and providing care for their medical needs. Pastor Julio said that once you heal ones phsyical needs then you have the right to their soul. What this man is, is a true vessel of Our Lord. We also were able to spend time with the children in the day care, which was in itself a highlight. I myself was blessed to rock a baby girl to sleep. Good to know I still have that motherly touch!

Then we were on yet another flight. We flew from Quito to Manta. Manta is where we are staying for the next 12 days. We went right to the orphanage and met the children and caretakers of the orphanage. Again, WOW. The work that God has begun here is so inspiring. So inspiring and exciting. The team is anxious to get starting tomorrow.

I think the one thing to take away from today is that God is Bigger than anything and He's everywhere.

The team is doing great. Were a little tired from the two days of traveling, but nothing a night of sleep and God's renewed stregth can't fix.

On behalf of the team, I like to send love and prayers to all our families and friends. We may be miles away, but your all in our hearts. We thank you for all the support and prayers. And to my babygirl, Kaity Jo, I love you and remember "there ain't no mountain high enought. :-)

In Faith,
Mechelle

Hi all,
The baptism at Stoney was awesome! Satan sent rain early on so a bunch of us prayed and I commanded the storm to go in Jesus' name and asked Father God to let the sun shine and that's exactly what happened! Praise God. Also, I know I have the gift of healing. At the Leadership Summit, Bill Fick, who's had a history of kidney stones accompanied by surgery let me pray for him. I laid hands on him and thanked God for him and commanded that his body come into complete alignment with God's Word and will in Jesus' name. I saw Bill and his wife at Stoney and he said that two days later the kidney stones passed without any pain! Hallelujah! The enemy tried to outsmart me but He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world! Jesus said His disciples would do everything He did and more. That time is now. You all have authority over all the power of the enemy as believers in Christ. Go team Jesus and fight the good fight of faith! Love, Tracey P.S. Roger, you rock!
